ARLINGTON, VA – The Federal Bar Association is pleased to induct Kukui Claydon, Director at Starn O'Toole Marcus & Fisher, as a Fellow of the FBA Foundation. Becoming a Fellow of the Foundation is an honor accorded to a small number of FBA members annually. Claydon was one of only 13 Fellows inducted during the FBA’s Annual Meeting and Convention last month.
The Foundation of the Federal Bar Association established the Fellows program in 2002 to recognize individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to and leadership within both the FBA and the legal community. There are currently 269 Fellows of the Foundation.
As a director at Starn O’Toole Marcus & Fisher, Claydon’s practice is well-rounded with impressive depth representing clients in construction, real estate development, large financial institutions and business owners who are often involved in multimillion-dollar disputes. She represents both corporate and public entities, ranging from large and medium-sized Hawaii companies to Fortune 500 firms, national banks and multiple state entities.
In addition to her induction as a Fellow of the Foundation, Claydon is the President of and active in the Hawaii chapter of the FBA. She has also been selected as a lawyer representative to the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, a two-year position.
Claydon has been named to the Hawaii Super Lawyers®, "Rising Star" List in the practice area of Business Litigation since 2018 and has been named to The Best Lawyers in America®, Ones to Watch list in the practice areas of Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation and Real Estate Litigation. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz and her master’s degree from the University of Phoenix, Las Vegas. She later received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
The Foundation of the FBA has been making a difference in the legal community for more than 60 years and continues to expand efforts to fund significant scholarships and grants that focus on increasing diversity, public service and community outreach.
